DevTab Chrome Extension

Privacy Policy

DevTab is built to run entirely in your browser. This policy explains exactly what data we collect and what we never touch.

Effective Date: April 29, 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how 100Plus Tools (“we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information in connection with the DevTab Chrome browser extension (“the Extension”).

By installing or using the Extension, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

What We Do NOT Collect

DevTab replaces your new tab page with a tool launcher. All search, navigation, and tool usage happens locally in your browser. None of the following data ever leaves your device or is sent to our servers:

  • Your browsing history or the pages you visit
  • The tools you search for or open in DevTab
  • Any input you enter inside individual tools (tools run as regular web pages)
  • Your favorites or recents list (stored locally in your browser unless you sign in)
  • Keystrokes or search queries typed into the DevTab search bar
  • Any analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party scripts within the Extension itself

What We Do Collect

DevTab is free and requires no account. If you choose to create a free account to sync your favorites and settings across devices, we collect the following:

Email Address (optional — account sign-up only)

When you sign up for a free account to enable cross-device sync, we collect your email address. This is stored securely in Supabase, a third-party authentication and database provider. Your email is used solely for account identification, authentication, and support communication. Creating an account is entirely optional — DevTab works fully without one.

Third-Party Services

The Extension and its optional account backend use the following third-party services:

SupabaseAuthentication and account storage (optional)

Only used if you create a free account for cross-device sync. Stores your email address and preferences. See Supabase's privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.

VercelBackend hosting

Hosts the API endpoints used for account verification and preference sync. See Vercel's privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Data Retention

  • Account data (email address, synced preferences) is retained for as long as you have an account. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
  • Local data (no account) — favorites, recents, and settings stored in your browser stay on your device and are never transmitted. You can clear them by uninstalling the Extension or clearing browser storage.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of any inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the Extension and requesting account deletion

Children's Privacy

The Extension is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Extension after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
